August Bank holiday started early with an extra day of diving for the early gang of 12 Clidivers. We dived the Maine (atmospheric, fishy) and the Eddystone (very fishy, fantastic visibility). The hordes then descended bringing our numbers up to 31. Yesterday we dived the Eddystone (again), Hilsea Point, the Glen Strathallen, the JEL and the Scylla. Lovely. Sightings for the day include lots of lobsters and nudibranchs, plus a 5 ft bull huss (that’s a big shark)
It’s only 9am on Sunday morning and the first wave has already left to dive at the Mewstone Ledges. The second wave will soon be heading out for the Elk (or perhaps offshore, if the wind would just drop off a bit)…
