We’re pleased to announce that Clidive has won the BSAC Expeditions Trophy for its expedition to Donegal in 2023.
The Expeditions Trophy is an annual award presented to the group with the “most significant exploratory diving expedition” of the year. It is specifically awarded for an expedition that promotes the true spirit of adventurous diving.
Clidive’s Donegal expedition had 16 divers on it spread over two weeks and involved taking our own boat and compressors. We dived many unknown locations taken from the charts and discovered some fantastic sites.

Clidive prides itself on its expeditionary diving, and has previously won BSAC’s project prize, the Peter Small Award. We have also won BSAC’s Heinke Trophy for the top BSAC club three times, with our expeditionary diving forming a centrepiece of our submission each time.
