Normally, on the first proper day of a dive trip, we take it easy. But a perfect weather forecast is too good to miss out on. Clidive Yellow cruised out of the Sound of Mull north to Eigg, one of the Small Isles. We dived the Great Wall on the east side of the Island, stopped for lunch, ate the Eigg cafe’s lovely almond and fruit cake, then dived Bo Fascadale in the afternoon.
Bo really is a fantastic dive. A sheer wall from 4m straight down to 60+ metres, covered in anemones and soft coral of every kind, with excellent visibility.
And on the way back, there were basking sharks, seals and a porpoise. But no whales yet. Ah well, there’s always tomorrow.
